Roles | Developing Tycoon, LLC

THE THREE CORE ROLES OF DEVELOPING TYCOON

Instead of fighting monsters, players overcome financial, legal, operational, and negotiation challenges. Every successful acquisition becomes a completed quest, and each role contributes in a distinct way.

The Capital Provider

❤️ Healer

The Capital Provider

No quest begins without resources.

Healers provide the financial energy that allows the party to move forward. Just as a healer restores health in an RPG, Healers restores momentum whenever a deal lacks funding.

A Healer doesn't usually manage the asset or negotiate the transaction. Instead, they empower everyone else to perform their roles. Without Heals, many incredible opportunities remain impossible to pursue.

Healers Provide

  • Cash
  • Private loans
  • Self-directed IRA funds
  • Retirement capital
  • HELOC funding
  • Lines of credit
  • Partnership capital
  • Equity investments
  • Gap funding

Core Responsibilities

  • Funding acquisitions
  • Providing liquidity
  • Structuring financing
  • Managing investment capital
  • Evaluating financial risk
  • Supporting expansion
  • Maintaining cash reserves

As Developing Tycoon expands, Healers will branch into specialized classes representing different funding strategies. Examples include:

IRA Priest

Channels retirement capital through a self-directed IRA to finance investments.

Cash Paladin

Deploys readily available cash for speed and certainty in closing deals.

Primary Mission

Keep the team financially capable of completing quests.

Victory Condition

The team has the capital needed to acquire, improve, and grow assets.

🛡️ Tank

The Transaction Coordinator

Bringing order to chaos

The Tank stands at the center of every deal. While others provide capital or perform operations, the Tank keeps the entire quest moving forward.

A Tank's responsibility is communication, coordination, and protection of the transaction. They are the first to engage with opportunities and the last to leave the battlefield before closing. Their job is to absorb confusion, delays, and obstacles so the rest of the team can focus on their own responsibilities.

A Tank communicates with:

  • Buyers and sellers
  • Realtors
  • Lenders
  • Attorneys
  • Title companies
  • Contractors
  • Insurance agents
  • Government offices
  • Investors
  • Business owners
  • Property managers

Core Responsibilities

  • Negotiations
  • Transaction coordination
  • Communication
  • Due diligence oversight
  • Problem solving
  • Team leadership
  • Timeline management

They schedule meetings, negotiate terms, collect documents, solve problems, coordinate deadlines, and ensure everyone stays aligned toward the same objective.

Without a Tank, even the best opportunities can collapse due to poor communication or missed deadlines.

Primary Mission

Guide every party safely from opportunity to closing.

The deal closes successfully because every moving part stayed coordinated.

⚔️ DPS - (Doing Per Second)

The Operator

⚔️ DPS - (Doing Per Second)

The Operator

Turning Vision into tangible results

Traditional RPGs use DPS (Damage Per Second) to defeat enemies through consistent action. In Developing Tycoon, DPS becomes Doing Per Second.

Operators create value through execution.

Once the Tank secures the opportunity and Support provides the resources, the DPS transforms the asset into something more valuable.

Operators don't simply work hard—they make progress every single day.

Depending on the quest, they may:

  • Renovate a property
  • Manage a rental
  • Operate a business
  • Build systems
  • Market products
  • Hire employees
  • Improve operations
  • Increase cash flow
  • Reduce expenses
  • Increase occupancy
  • Scale production

Core Responsibilities

  • Asset management
  • Property operations
  • Business operations
  • Construction
  • Maintenance
  • Marketing implementation
  • System building
  • Revenue optimization

Every improvement increases the value of the team's asset. They are measured by production, consistency, efficiency, and results.

Turn opportunity into profit through execution.

Victory Condition

The asset becomes more valuable because of consistent execution.

Why All Three Roles Matter

No single player can efficiently complete every quest alone.
A successful Developing Tycoon party combines three complementary strengths:

🛡️ Tank

Secures and coordinates the opportunity.

❤️ Healer

Supplies the capital to make it possible.

⚔️ DPS

Transforms the opportunity into lasting value.

✦ ✦ ✦

Each role depends on the others.
Capital without execution sits idle.
Execution without funding never begins.
Communication without either accomplishes nothing.
When all three work together, deals close faster, assets perform better, risks are reduced, and wealth compounds more effectively.

The Developing Tycoon Philosophy

Unlike traditional RPGs, the enemy is not a monster. The true bosses are:

  • Lack of capital
  • Poor communication
  • Inaction
  • Fear

  • Inefficient Systems
  • Market competition
  • Operational problems

✦ ✦ ✦

Every completed deal is a defeated boss.
Every acquired asset is earned loot.
Every profitable business is a conquered territory.
